Objectives of the 'Interactive Food Chain Tool'

The Interactive Food Chain Tool(IFCT) is developed based upon a research methodology used by one of our research partners, Leeds University Business School. The tool works in a similar way to the child's game Fuzzy-Felt, where it involves moving icons representing elements of the food chain (e.g. farm, supermarket, etc.) around and placing them on a board.

The IFCT is a risk communication tool aiming to help you visualise the food chain as a whole, and therefore think about where risks arise, and how they might be managed. The IFCT also allows you to share work with others, and learn from and comment on the given examples.

There are two versions of IFCT available at the moment, relating to our case studies. One concerns apples, the other chicken.
